Dinner theater

On Thursday night we decided to go to the "Cabin Night Dinner Theater" which is themed off of Kantishna. Kantishna was a mining community at the very end of the park road in the national park. It started with a family style all you can eat dinner of rolls, corn, beans, potatoes, ribs and salmon, finished of with berry cobbler. We sat with a very nice farming family from Illinois who were up here visiting their son who is stationed in Anchorage. There was also another couple from Canada who were traveling the west for three months! I can't get enough of the people I meet up here! After the dinner was served the cast preformed a few musical numbers that told the story of mining back in the day, along with some jokes to liven the crowd. Although it was a tourist trap, it was still a cute and entertaining show!
