Denali State Park

So last night after training I caught a ride up to the park with one of the trail crew members. The ride was beautiful, saw a moose crossing the road and another porcupine. On of the other kids said they saw a wolf on their way up, jealous! We stopped at cubby's grocery store. They ain't lying when they say things are expensive up here! A regular sized bottle of juice is $7, yes seven dollars! Oh well a girls got to eat!
Once we entered the park we stopped at the South Lookout. There were no clouds in sight so we had a clear view of Denali or Mt. McKinley, whichever you prefer. It is so humbling to be here, everywhere I look is beautiful! After arriving at the ranger station I met a few more people; everyone I've met so far is awesome! We grilled kabobs and had a campfire, just like summer in Maine! So that was my third night here and my third place I stayed, it was a little log cabin with a porch and wood stove, cute and cozy.

It's all still surreal, but I still love it!
