THE LAST FRONTEIR

I MADE IT!

Had an early morning leaving Maine at 6 am, and the ride to Boston put me a little on edge when we started hitting traffic, but all was well and I made my flight on-time!  The goodbye to my parents was emotional, but hey that was inevitable!  I think this was the first time in my life (knock on wood) that my flights went off without a hitch.  The only minor change was a refueling stop was added in SEA/TAC, but I got a picture of Mt. Rainier out of it.

Flying into Alaska cannot be put into words, I felt so humbled and small looking at the vast landscape below.  There are mountains everywhere, and I'm not talking a peak, there are ranges of them!  It is amazing.

I made it to the Hotel safely, and had my first sit down meal of the day at 9pm here so 1am back home!  Phew!  I ordered "Hot Legs" which we all know as buffalo wings, they didn't disappoint.  I also got a beautiful picture of the sunset on Lake Spenard.

This was a long blog, but I know a lot of you were looking forward to hearing from me and since I can't contact you all individually I figured I would post as much as I could.

ALL IS WELL IN ANCHORAGE!
